This Privacy Policy explains how Maizic Smarthomes Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the mobile application RTSP Viewer: CCTV & IP Camera, package name com.maizic.live (the "App"). This policy is specific to this App — an ad-supported viewer for third-party RTSP/ONVIF/CCTV cameras — and is separate from the Maizic Ask app.
By installing or using the App you agree to this Policy.
You provide: Account email/profile via Google Sign-In (used to identify your account; we don't get your password). Camera connection details (IP, port, path, username, password) — stored only on your device.
Media: Recordings and snapshots you capture are stored on your device and in your Gallery when saved. We cannot access them.
On-device AI / biometric: The App analyses clips on your device to detect people, faces, vehicles and packages, and groups faces so you can label people. Face grouping uses a mathematical representation (embedding) stored locally only, never uploaded. Delete any person anytime in Known Faces; uninstalling removes this data.
Optional online "Smart Answer": If you use it, only a short text summary of events is sent to our server and/or a third-party AI provider. No video, images or face data are sent. If unused, nothing is sent.
Ads (Google AdMob): AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID), approximate location from IP, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
Analytics (Firebase): Anonymous, aggregated usage events and basic device/app info (model, OS, app version, country). No video, photos, credentials or face data.
Purchases: Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not receive or store payment details.
Permissions: Internet/network & Wi-Fi state (connect to cameras, show ads), notifications (recording/alerts), foreground service (background recording).
To connect to and display your cameras; record/save media at your request; run on-device AI; sign you in; show and measure ads; understand usage to improve the App; process subscriptions; and provide support.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with Google (AdMob, Firebase, Sign-In, Play Billing); a third-party AI provider only if you use optional online Smart Answer (text only); and authorities where legally required. Your camera credentials, recordings, snapshots and face data are not shared by the App.
On-device data stays until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data held by Google is retained per Google's policies. We apply reasonable security measures; no method is 100% secure.

Advertising ID & consent: You can reset/limit your advertising ID in device settings. Where required (EEA/UK and under Indian law), we request consent for personalised ads via a consent message; you can change it anytime.
Not directed to children under 13 (or your country's minimum age). We do not knowingly collect children's data; contact us to delete any.
Under India's DPDP Act, the GDPR and similar laws, you may access, correct, delete or restrict your data and withdraw consent. Most data is on your device and can be deleted in the App or by uninstalling. For account requests, email us below.
We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use means acceptance.
